Polkadoodles WeLove2Create: Challenge #8 Anything goes Mixed Media

Hi!
It’s time for a new challenge at Polkadoodles WeLove2Create Challenge blog. This time I’ve made a canvas for you. I used a digital stamp from Stick & Bones. I colored it with Copic Sketch, colors that I used are listed further down.

First, I glued the paper with the colored stamp onto a canvas. Next, I twined some strings around one side of the canvas. Then I paint over the character with clear gesso and the rest of the paper with white gesso. I added gesso also with a spatula to create some texture.

Next, I attached some fiberglass tape around the canvas and glued down the wood pieces that follow with canvases down below on the canvas. I adhered some branches on both sides around the stamp.

Then, I made a mixture of microbeads, mini art stones, art stones, and soft matte gel. The mixture I added in the bottom of the canvas and to the branches.

Then, I started to color the canvas with Dylusions Ink sprays. When the colors dried, I added resin flowers and pearls to the branches. I also added a couple of paper flowers at the bottom of the canvas.

The stones, I enhanced with Inka Gold. I added browngold to the stones around the branches and graphite at the stones at the bottom.

Finally, I die-cut out a pennant, that I attached a sentiment sticker on. The pennant, I glued at the top of the canvas.
